Description Willy Lott's House appears in John Constable's famous painting, the Hay Wain, which would have been painted from the path on the left. Willy Lott was a tenant farmer who lived in the house and died in 1849. The house stands behind Flatford Mill in Suffolk, in England. The water is part of the River Stour.
James Lamb Member Since October 2018 Artist Statement I started taking snaps when I was a child, having a Kodak instamatic when I was about 7. At university in 1978 I was bought my first SLR - an Olympus OM1 - completely manual and built like a Swiss watch. When I started work taking pictures was relegated to weekends and holidays as finding time became more difficult. Now having retired I can pursue my passion.
