Artist Statement BIO:
Full time professional Irish artist Mary Cahalan signs her work with the sobriquet- "PIXI",- when asked why; Cahalan explains- "it is kind of unique, sticks in your memory and my clients remember it !!"
PIXI produces eye catching colourful canvases with a hint of humour and a collage of colour- her works are Popular sellers in Ireland. She also produces limited edition fine art prints of her works on silk quality gloss print paper, signed and numbered by the artist – shipped in a tube ready to mount and frame
Already in many private collections,in Ireland, UK, France, USA, Germany,Spain, and Canada
Mary gave up employment, to pursue her career full time as a professional artist in 2001 in order to build a career as a professional artist
Several successful solo and shared exhibitions in Ireland from 2001 to date incl ART Ireland, Annual RDS show, Slane castle group show, Markree castle group show , Kinsale arts festival, Kilkenny arts festival, Dublin Arts fair etc etc
Mary sells through London art and through established galleries around Ireland.
