silversmithing
i hide myself behind sturdy habiliments holding the world at bay my soft parts need protection too easily wounded they bleed red ribbons tying me into untangleable knots of despair
but they need nourishment these soft parts i keep one secret panel open to the sky's midnight ink the marigenous fuel of the firmament mother of imagination creation salvation defying damnation
and through the window copper phtalocyanine spills into my soul sprinkled with graphite aluminum oxide silicon carbide and all the other bits of cosmic dandruff that is stardust presolar grains older than earth leftovers carrying the secrets of dead stars
when the greedy sun devours the night gaping atomic mouth swallowing the midnight sea the panel closes keeping safe my treasures that when i awake have already begun to melt spreading the precious silver through my veins to be released onto the page or perhaps the pixels you are reading now 2014 RC deWinter
