Artist Statement Abused as child. Not allowed to have friends. Only friend, family dog, collie, named Sunny. Joined NAVY @ 21. 1200 Shipmates hailed me as hero 1st ship. Six yrs, paramedic, streets of DETROIT. 13 yrs. ICU SJMH, PONTIAC. Have always fought discrimination, prejudice, patient abuse, neglect, incompetence of medical personel and public servants, and corruption. My mother was Danish with traces of Algonquin, and a saint. At present had four major surgeries on my legs last three years, trying to survive on disability. Been knocking on Heaven's Door for years. He won't let me in. Must not be done with me yet.
