Artist Statement Scenic landscape photographer was raised in a small foothill community on the doorsteps of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Growing up in this area gave me a great appreciation for the beauty of the world we live in. Always an outdoor adventurer, and a camera at my side, I appreciated the story that is always in motion. My viewpoint is that the earth lives and breathes as we do. Everyday there is energy spent to live and breathe, to grow and sustain balance and life . You can witness it in the environment fighting for the right to exist, aided or consumed by the elements. The power of wind and water are depicted in " Wild Hawaii" The ocean and wind assault the cliffs of north Maui. The rock formations standing strong, defying the elements - a relentless battle of wills.
In another part of the Islands you will witness harmony with water feeding life to its surroundings as everything tries to move closer and snuggle its host - " Wailua Falls ". The serenity of the scene is hypnotic and invites the senses to feel the cool mist as it rises from the falls and hear the trees rustling in the wind as you listen to the water flowing through the stream.
" Sunset in Makena " explodes with color as the evening comes to a close and light fights for its right to exist. All the elements are at play in this magical world on Maui as wind and water wrestle with the shore and light and dark dance in the sky.
There is a beauty and rhythm to life. Bringing it closer, sharing it, for all us to view is my objective. Using only the best materials and techniques these images are printed on art quality Materials and finished to bring the images to life.
