Description In this ultra hectic world, everyone could use a moment or two of zen thoughts. I hope these photographs will serve as reminders to help you achieve inner peace. These photographs were taken on a trip to Hong Kong and Japan in 2006. 'Watchful Eyes' is a portrait of the world's largest outdoor buddha statue in Po Lin Monastery, Hong Kong. One has to climb several hundred steps to reach the lotus seat of the buddha all the while experiencing his commanding presence. 'Wisdom Path' is also located within the grounds of Po Lin Monastery. It is an installation of wooden pillars arranged in a figure of infinity on the hillside; each pillar is carved with buddhist teaching. Both 'Japanese Lantern' and 'The Moment' were taken at a beautiful hot spring ryokan (traditional Japanese inn). If you have never experienced the natural hotsprings, aka onsen, in Japan, it is something you must do in your next vacation!
