I am a self taught artist.I started painting in 1998. I love all sorts of art my favorite is pop art and abstract art.When I was younger I was the lead singer for the Miami based 80's band THE FRONT we wrote strictly original materiel, opened up for National and International acts such as U2, The Go Go's. The Psycadelic Furs and many many more. Our second single Aluminum Room garnished a Billboard Magazine single pick. I always have loved painting since I was a child however I did not persue it until my late 40's. I have privaetly sold numerous works of art. Currently I am working on a documentary film covering South Florida Bands of the early 80's I hope you enjoy my paintings I let the canvas "tell me what to paint" sort of like looking at the clouds. I will be releasing a series called Applaince Art in the near future. I intend as I grow older to devote my time and energy into expressing myself artistcally on canvas , music and film. Some of my favorite artists are Warhol. Pollock, DeKooning, Haring. Jasper Johns to name a few. I rarely paint with a preconcieved idea like seeing things in the clouds I let the canvas guide me and tell me what it wants to be creatively. Its always fun and always a surprise. I paint with a sense of humor and warmth and occasionally paint to make a point or deliver a message. I hope you enjoy Greg McLaughlin
