This series of work is what I currently call the Patience Series. These paintings are a step out of what I used paint. I was creating paintings that were out of control and spontaneous. My primary concern with the older paintings were the colors interactions with one another and how transparencies could be achieved with gouache, watercolor, ink, and transfered images. In the Patience series I have stepped back and have complete control over my work. I create a space that can be explored in a chaotic controlled form, creating a contradiction in each painting through the movement of lines and color.
