The Gaia Dreaming sesries began as a commission by the renoun climate activist and consultant Alan AtKisson. He wanted to know what Gaia's dreams would look like. Of course, these days Gaia's dreams are filled with people which became the title of the first painting. At a workshop he lead at IAR Systems in Sweden Alan introduced me to the term Anthropocene, the geological age dominated by humans. This lead to the rest of this continuing series. As I clip images from magazines, the web, advertizing and postcards, I feel like am cutting into/channeling the dreams of the Anthropocene. I hope you enjoy them.
