A mandala, according to Webster's dictionary, is a "graphic mystic symbol of the universe." They are traditionally used for meditation and quiet contemplation. These mandalas are an extension of my previous work with the "VisionQuest" images. They are much more complex, involving many more steps to complete. Like all of my work, each piece consists of a single photograph that is added to itself in different ways. The energy in these images is quite amazing; it flows either into or out of the center, depending on the pattern. Choose a mandala, focus on it, take a deep breath, and see where it takes you.
