Description A beautiful underwater fractal flower, and mother of the great water lily, herself The Flower of the Long Sleep. Pulled from under the waves, a single bite would sweep away an Atlantian into a death-like sleep that could last for hundreds of years. Mermen and Mermaids wear them in their hair, and the vivid green and lush blue of her petals begin to glow as they swim deep into the waters of the abyss. Lean nearer, child and take a breath.Incept: This flower required 4-days, 16-hours, and 47-minutes to render in Apophysis. Water bubbles and lighting were added in post-processing, preparing the design for the upcoming Merlife series of fractals and abstracts.
Jaya Prime, Black Rock City Member Since December 2016 Artist Statement Beautiful and amazing fractal designs, abstracts, and Mandelbrots from award-winning and acclaimed fractal artist San Jaya Prime. Stars, spirals, magic, nebulae, mandalas, robots, masks, feathers, flowers, wonder.
Jaya’s fractal art came to fame for his Daft Punk “Tron: Legacy” remix album art (Disney, Indaba), as well as his award-winning Chaos Clock fractal, which appears on multiple book covers, in video games, and in music videos. Many more know his large-scale fractal murals, such as at ACCOR’s SO Sofitel Hua Hin resort in Thailand, where the Heart of the Rose fractal mural fills out the centerpiece corridor of the resort. There are other worlds than these.
I make worlds. I design art and fractals along specific themes, worlds that pull in the eye and leave the mind asking questions — those are the worlds I create; where mystery and the enigma hold power, where symbols define the lines that the colors follow. Ex nihilo, ad infinitum.
I walk in dreams and dream waking. Who am I? ~San Jaya Prime
