Description April 14, 2013 On this night spent an interesting 5 hours searching for the elusive northern lights, the (Aurora Borealis). It had at first appeared that I was not going to have any luck. The cloud cover was patchy and at times a bit thick. This made seeing through to the stars tricky, but added a certain ambiance to the photographs. After I spent some time at the first location with no signs of the lights, I made my way further West to fund a darker spot. Well, that's when I was finally able to see some results. Perhaps not the kind of jaw dropping eye popping ones I had hoped to take. They were however, some really interesting ones lit up by diffuse pastel prisms in the sky.
