Artist Statement Thanks for looking at my work! A bit about me: I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area performing musical theater and Shakespeare with various theatre companies. I moved to Seattle for college and completed my BA in Drama and Dance in June of 2007. It wasn't until I took a year off from college in 2003 that I discovered photography and a totally new form of expression. Unlike my other interests, it didn't require any sort of performance on my part, no interaction with others; it was a chance for me to find solitude with my subject. I found this new and vastly important for me as a growing artist, and I continue to expand my view of the world I live in by finding beauty in the ordinary. I hope you enjoy seeing the world through my eyes!
