Artist Statement Art has always been a part of my life. I was born in Potsdam, New York. There I excelled in Art from Grade school on through Potsdam High School. I attended over 3 years of College at Potsdam University, New York where I majored in Art. I had many pieces of artwork accepted at the art gallery of Potsdam University and at the Student Art Show. I love experimenting with different mediums, fabric, clay, paints, colored pencils to name a few. I have two children who are now grown. Their dad has passed on many years ago. Through the years my Son, Ronnie and Daughter, Candy, have given me many wonderful Grandchildren! Four Granddaughters, Katelynne, Sabrina, Nicole, and Cassandra. Two Grandsons, Kaiden and Wyatt. Two Step Granddaughters, Claire and Katie, and another Granddaughter Brianna I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting . I now have a new grandson, Carson born April, 2009! I now reside in Huber Heights, Ohio with my wonderful husband Kazuhito Montayo. Who has plenty of patients! He never knows what he is coming home to. I continuously move the furniture around to accommodate more room for my art stations I have set up. Our extra bedroom is set up for polymer clay work and storage of art bins and shelves of art books. My brother Greg also provides me with extra storage space. Now that I'm unemployed I can really start to get to work on my Art in which you are now viewing.

Also a huge thank you to all of you out there who help make this possible!

Thank you for visiting me, stop in any time to see what I will be creating next! Sincerely….Gayle Montayo
