During the new year, make an effort to get to know your teachers or professors better. This will help you greatly if you will need recommendation letters for college or graduate school, or if you simply have questions about what to do after graduation.
A mentorship may grow from your efforts, through which you can learn much more about your field of study and begin to see yourself within said field. However, you do not need to get to know each and every one of your professors. You might get along better with some, personality-wise, while others you may admire for their research or work outside of class. Begin by visiting them during office hours or meeting with them to discuss academic questions.
