Description Hidden deep underground in magical glens where very few have seen, are the birthplace of fairies. They spring from magical flowers (some with more success than others hehe). Here is where they wait until they are ready to bring magic into the world. This is from my own production of acrylic on a 13.25 x 21.25' compressed board.

Artist Statement Hi, I'm Shannon! I am a lowbrow artist located in central Florida. I've done several commission works and murals as well as my own personal pieces. I very often escape from the tedious everyday world into my own world of fairies and fantasy! I was born in Frankfurt, Germany, but actually grew up in a small town in Missouri. I have been drawing for as long as I can remember, but have been pursuing my dream of magical art since 2005. In high school my 2 favorite classes were art and band. I learned to play the alto saxophone, and still do from time to time. Then, I moved to Florida to pursue a career in graphic design. While I like doing design work, my true passion is art and the amazing world of my imagnation. I currently reside in Davenport, FL where I live a very creatively fulfilling life with my husband, Ben, our dog, Titan, and our two cats, Saphira (from the book "Eragon") and Black Star (from an anime we love called “Soul Eater”).
