Description I called this painting 'Blue Spots' for obvious reasons. I love painting horses in unusual colors and powerful back ground colors like reds, golds and oranges.Horses are powerful creatures and a powerful background makes a painting of an animal some how more attractive to the masses and to the soul.I originally intended this painting to have a 'patriotic feel' but some how - it managed to be quite the opposite. This is one of my favorite paintings to date. The Original was quite small, being only the size of a trading card, 2.5x3.5 inches. The original was sold to a very lucky collector in France!

I am almost completely self taught... My art is proudly collected all over the world and offers something for everyone.
Art has always been a huge part of my life, even though I have had no formal education in art. I have been drawing ever since I could pick up a pencil and horses were of course, usually always the main subject. I used to imagine as a child, if I could draw the horse as real as I could, maybe in some magic way, it would become real. Well, that hasn't much changed for me, except that now I know it isn't really going to jump off the canvas, I just want it to look like it can and just might...
I enjoy working on realistic paintings and abstract paintings and I especially have become fond of painting 'Alla Prima' meaning 'Wet on Wet paint'... Alla Prima is an incredible teaching tool as it is not only freeing- but also teaches how different paint strokes work, how colors work together, etc.
I have recently begun to offer collectible ACEO cards, also known as Artist Trading Cards or Art Cards Editions and Originals... These are perhaps the easiest art forms to collect and display ideas are limitless..
The idea that my art is being displayed in homes in countries I have never been, is almost as good as visiting the foriegn location myself! I welcome ideas, comments and yes, criticism, it is the way in which we grow. I would eventually like to become a full time professional artist, but like a good painting, that takes time.My business goals are to provide buyers with the unique experience of purchasing original art at affordable prices and to improve in any way that I can- and I always can improve!
I am proud to belong to The Equine Artist Guild, Art 4 Critters and EBSQ. I have online galleries at Saatchi Gallery, myartspace.com and artmajeur.com
I still get very excited anytime someone purchases a piece of my art- no matter the size or the price! I would like to take a moment and thank the people who have purchased pieces of my art, with a special thanks to those of you who return for more!
