Artist Statement Patric Stillman is a Visual Artist creating connections for the LGBTQ+ community through humanizing history and uncovering the complexities of identity.

Stillman is best known for the gay-themed international bestseller Brotherhood Tarot and his San Diego art gallery The Studio Door. His work has been exhibited at the Musée du Louvre, SCOPE Miami Beach, Visual AIDS NYC and ArtShare LA. Additional works have appeared in the pages of Boston Pride Guides, RFD Magazine and Chelsea Station Magazine. His mural Pride & Protest was exhibited as part of the three year LGBT exhibition at the San Diego History Center in Balboa Park.

Stillman's acrylic paintings on canvas and wood panels reflect themes of personal identity, connections to ancestors, LGBT history, nocturnal landscapes, urban fantasies, and Film Noir concepts. His palette is derived from muted colors appearing as watermarks, complex layers and dripping formations. These Colors represent the inner world that we universally carry with us.
