Description The nude is a beautiful and essential symbol of simplicity. Everything we really need is there: heart, lungs, eyes, brains, bones, muscles, all contained by skin, no clothes required. And it is in an appealing form, meeting one of our higher needs, the need for beauty. The nude serves as a reminder that much of what we collect, and are so preoccupied with, is just clutter. To rein in the thoughtless, rampant and meaningless consumerism that threatens to lay waste to the planet we need to ask ourselves: 'do I really need this?'www.bodiesontheline.com
