Description Just as a child we attempted to communicate through simple means. Two old discarded tins, joined together with string and when pulled taught you could speak into one of the tin and be heard by the other party. This piece attempts to highlight how, no matter how we develop the technology, the reliance upon string and gubbings eventually leads to a breakdown in communication. Food for thought
Derek McFee Member Since May 2007 Artist Statement I do consider myself to be an artist and one who having first inhaled the intoxicating smell of oils way back in the early sixties was captivated by the exploration of ones inner self. Now some of these images are just that, an exploration of a darker slightly exciting look at what might be. A journey filled with intrepidation, careful not to get too close?
