Artist Statement I am a long time artist but have taken a long break and am now getting back to my passion. I originate from the L.A. area where I began Art school in Pasadena but quickly became discouraged by the lack of hand made work and the abundance of computer work. Not that I do not appreciate the skills of computer artist I just prefer to use my hands. I left art school to become a scenic artist in the studios around Hollywood and eventually a lead scenic artist for a set shop. I went from there to being a paint finisher for the J Paul Getty museum in West L.A. where I was in charge of the gallery and sculpture pedestal finishes. I gained inspiration from being able to freely roam the galleries on a daily basis. After taking the last few years to raise a family I am once again painting and producing work.
