Artist Statement I feel most alive while painting a canvas or composing an image in the lens of my beloved camera. The sound of the paintbrush sweeping across the canvas is so very distinct and sweet music to my ears, the click-cha-click of the shutter testifies to the capturing of a slice of life.

Moving to rural Pennsylvania was a first step to freeing my mind of constant activity and over-stimuli that created almost constant static in my world. Removing the television from my living room supported this further, and while attending a spring party of the celebrated artist Marylou Chibirka during the summer of '09 I experienced what could be called an awakening, I simply knew that there were paintings inside me waiting to be expressed. Regular exposure to muscians and artist aplenty offers abundant creative inspiration. Quite alot of my work reflects these beautiful folks who remain in their flow of artistry, offering themselves and talents with great love and enthusiasm to all they encounter. I feel blessed by their presence and endeavor to capture their beauty, spirit and grace in my work. Receiving a Nikon camera as a gift in the spring of 2010 expanded the horizons of my creative venue and has me travelling with my trusty camera everywhere I go.
