Description mixed media (acrylic, paper, and ink), 30 x 40With countries in conflict, polarization of our political parties, and xenophobia at an all time highhow can we bridge our differences to work together in harmony for a better future? In Bridging Our Differences, I wanted to show that despite the seemingly huge obstacles (the large green rocks) in our way, individuals (the small, colorful stones) banding together could create these bridges to help us move forwards towards positive change. One of my favorite quotes by Margaret Mead, Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, its the only thing that ever has. Let us all work toward being one of these small, colorful stones.
