Artist Statement Diving is my weekend passion to eliminate the week day stress as a teacher! I started taking underwater pictures as a hobby in October of 2005 here in Okinawa, Japan.

I recently started selling and exhibiting my work locally which has proved to be surprisingly successful. It has been a wonderful and rewarding experience to watch customers select a picture for a gift for someone back home or simply to hang in their own home. Everyone has such different tastes and styles it is always great to see the different opinions of my photographs and sometimes shock at what really lives at 100 feet below the surface!

In the future I hope to work more with photography once I move back to the states in June of 2007. We will be moving to Monterey, California for 2-3 years so I am looking forward to photograph the beautiful scenery in the area. I have an on land website with photography from recent trips mainly around Asia www.pbase.com/world_nomads and an underwater website at www.pbase.com/the_underwater_world
