Artist Statement My mother is a professional photographer, painter, and nurse. I grew up learning how to draw and paint, take pictures, and care for boo-boos. Though I never shared her passion for caring for injured strangers, I do share her passion for art.

I went to college for Psychology and History and found myself way outside of both of those realms when I landed a job taking inventory photos of cars for an auto dealership. I moved on to the marketing department, where I did most of the graphic design for the print and digital ads. It reawakened my love of art and I've since left the auto business to pursue my childhood interest in art and subjects other than automobiles (though I still love anything with wheels and an engine).
