Pamala Wilson, Orlando Member Since October 2007 Artist Statement "Aware of the suffering caused by the destruction of life, I undertake to cultivate compassion and learn ways to protect the lives of people, animals, plants, and minerals. I am determined not to kill, not to let others kill, and not to condone any act of killing in the world, in my thinking, and in my way of life." – Thich Nhat Hahn
Having been born a nature lover and finding myself very much influenced by Buddhist philosophy, I am interested in any attempt to help others discover the interconnectedness of life on this planet. All too often, we go about our day without really seeing, or without taking notice of what consequences occur as a direct result from humanity’s giant footprint. My photos simply show what already exists “as is.” Life is precious. It is everywhere, all around us and has many forms. My deep love and understanding of nature is the inspiration for my work. I tend to see and feel my subjects in a way few others are able. Through my photography, I hope to share this passion with the world. It is my hope that my art may be of benefit to others.
