Description Its a serene summer day. Monarch butterflies billow on the breeze. The flowers are in full bloom with their pink petals showing. The sky is mottled with blues: cyan, cerulean, slate, sky blue, periwinkle. The sky is also full of a subtle cascade of butterfly silhouettes. These fade into a ground of greens: spring green, pear green, chartreuse, olive, sage... Its a whimsical and active illustration with summer charm and lots of color. The original image is a digital collage. A black and white pen & ink drawing was scanned into Photoshop where it was manipulated with color fills, and scans of my drawings (the butterflies) and my paintings (salt on watercolor). Since the original image is digital, the only physical form in which it exists is as a print.
