Artist Statement Kathleen is an artist and a writer. She has won an honourable mention in the CBC Calgary Short Play competition, an honourable mention in the 2006 Alberta Anthology Short Fiction competition, and was a finalist in the 2005 Writer's Union of Canada's Writing for Children Competition.

A few years ago, with the encouragement of her dear friends, she began to paint after a long hiatus. The first sale of her work ignited a creative spark that she thought was long cold after her oldest child was born. Since then she has moved her Art store to Artfire and and has a Gallery of work on the EBSQ (self-representing artists) site. Recently Kathleen was invited to add her work to the World of Inspiration show at the APW Gallery in New York. The show ran from March 6 to 30th, 2009
