Artist Statement Christine Brennecke is a lifelong visual artist who has studied Fine Art at Temple University. She creates two-dimensional art that often features the human form or face. Her subjects of interest include mythology, fairy tales, dreams, emotion, and beauty. The art movements she is most inspired by are Art Nouveau, Surrealism, and Pop Art. She also finds inspiration from the lore of ancient and lost cultures and from her immediate environment. Most of her work is created with oil and/or acrylic paint, but she also dabbles with other mediums, such as charcoal, pencil, printmaking, and graphic design.
