Artist Statement I have always been an artist since very young. After school, unfortunately I took jobs in offices, restaurants, bars, hotels, etc. However, I was always being creative and was drawing and painting. I went travelling for a while in my 20's and then at 28 I retrained in graphic design, where I learned design, illustration, screen printing and graphics. I worked at this for a while until I got married and had children. I took a job at my children's school as a Learning Support Assistant where I worked for 18 years. I was able to be creative here as I did their displays and backdrops for plays + face painting. I took early retirement in December and have been training online on an art mentoring course, which has been fundamental to me getting back to my art.
