Artist Statement I am an abstract painter who works primarily with acrylics and encaustics. I live in the country, and find much inspiration in the constant changes in nature, especially those that mark the passage of time. I enjoy painting expressively; building up a painting with multiple layers, energetic brushwork, texture, and sometimes adding found objects.The layered mark-making hints at the history of the struggle and the passion behind the making of a painting.
