Description I was taking pictures nearby and was just leaving when I went around to the front of this house and saw these two cats playing in the window. I only had about two minutes of shooting time before they scampered away, but it was enough to get this charming shot. The window has an interesting semi-transparent pattern which gives the shot a painting like effect.
Tim Dressler, Takasaki, Japan Member Since August 2012 Artist Statement I was born 5 July 1950 in San Antonio, Texas.
Before coming to Japan in 1990, I was a better than average photographer in Los Angeles; mostly actors' headshots.
Now, I'm a better than average English teacher in Takasaki, Gunma.
As an English teacher/photo-enthusiast, when I'm not correcting my students' syntax, I like to spend hours and hours every week riding my bike through the streets and sleepy neighborhoods of Takasaki looking for art in ordinary places. I hope you'll enjoy what I've found so far.
Besides the "art" photos I'm offering, you might be interested in seeing the "ordinary" locations where the art was found. Please email me and I'll send you the super secret password so that you can see that gallery too!
In addition to the joy I have found through photography here in Japan, I have also found and been married to the most wonderful Japanese woman for twenty-three years; and I look forward to many, many more happy, healthy years together with her in our cozy little apartment in Takasaki.
