Description Celtic Circle-Dawn-01 is an image taken of the Celtic Circle Pat Bullen-Whatling (an artist in Llandeilo) created as a piece of land art specifically for the National Trust, Newton House, Parc Dinefwr Park, Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire in West Wales. This image was taken at, or just after, dawn on a fine Welsh autumnal morning. These images are wonderful when seen in large format and close up, the raindrops and other details really come to life then and form a picture that is, at the same time, both calming and mystical.Pat has worked with the National Trust in Wales on several occasions, not only producing her Celtic Circle (a piece of land art to stand outside Newton House) but she has also held a twelve day, one-woman exhibition there (670 visitors) run willow weaving displays and courses (creating large scale, outdoor pieces; e.g. a 42 (13mtr) willow Welsh Dragon) as well as run classes for children. A piece of her sculpture has also been displayed by Carmarthen County Council in Carmarthen; an outdoor, lifesize work of the magician Merlin. She works as a Llandeilo artist in the beautiful Towy Valley on the borders of the Brecon Beacons National Park.

Artist Statement I've been working as a professional artist in Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire, West Wales (U.K.) since 1981 and from 2006 to 2009 studied for and completed my B.A. in Fine Art, with Honours, at Trinity University College, Carmarthen.
My work is eclectic and wide ranging but I delight in bringing the unseen in nature into sharp focus, especially in my studies of bark and lichens. Though unfamiliar they are, in fact, accurate reproductions of what nature almost hides from us. I've also been intived to work with the National Trust in Wales on several occasions; running willow workshops (large outdoor pieces - a 32' (13 metre) dragon for example) holding a large scale, one-woman exhibition with them and producing a piece of outdoor land-art (a Celtic Circle) to stand in the grounds of Newton House, Parc Dinefwr Park, Llandeilo, Carmarthshire, Wales and another piece for Carmarthen County Council to stand in Carmarthen Town itself. I hold several exhibitions each year and I'm also a member of a busy cooperative of artists who own and run the prestigious King Street Gallery, Carmarthen.
