Artist Statement I use photography as a means of conveying my sense of amazement with all that surrounds me; the colors, angles and textures from which the visual world is constructed. I am always curious about my environment, and photography allows me a chance to explore and (momentarily at least) to capture and present an image of what I see.



My fascination with the ‘everyday’ items of a culture leads me to capture many objects often described as mundane. I find myself drawn to faded paint and decaying lettering more than to the monumental buildings and technological ephemera of our society due to the emotion these forgotten and overlooked objects contain.



I experience constant wonder and gratitude for images I see in the world around me and through these photos I hope to convey some sense of these feelings.
