Description chaosupclose was generated from random algorithmic processes based on atmospheric particle behavior. The resulting chaotic pattern was then magnified and artistically rendered/manipulated with color and other effects. The resulting environment offers an 'up close' glimpse of our chaotic reality at the 'mathematical' level. but at the same time suggests a world inhabited by strange beings and phenomena in a kind of surrealistic tableau.
Matthew Marth, Vienna Member Since November 2007 Artist Statement I am an American artist and composer living in Vienna, Austria. Much of my work is oriented towards building visual and sonic environments that are generated from random patterns and chaos. I look to nature for models of complex organic systems and I like to think of my works as portals or focused glimpses into infinite reality.
