Description Flowers of a common chicory, also known as blue sailors, coffeeweed, or succory-- and sometimes mistaken for cornflowers, bloom at the edge of a field of grass. One blossom basks open in the summer sunlight as several other partially closed flowers huddle together apart from it.
Dawna Morton, Rainier Member Since August 2007 Artist Statement Dawna Morton was raised in Portland, Oregon where she discovered her love of painting at an early age. Her love of family and nature provide the basis for her works. Dawna's medium of choice is watercolor. She loves its luminosity, which brings her vision of brightening the world and the lives of others forward. Dawna currently resides in Rainier, Oregon with her family where she finds much of her inspiration in the forests surrounding their home.
