Description For those of you who have heard of the Paperclip Project, this statue may be familiar. For those of you who do not know of this project it is quite amazing. In 1998 two teachers from Whitwell, TN created a class to teach their students about the Holocaust, but the students had no idea what 6 million looked like. So they decided to collect paperclips. Eleven years and millions of paperclips later, they have created a memorial for the children of the Holocaust. This statue is part of that memorial.
Lisa Moore, Reston Member Since September 2007 Artist Statement A camera has been my constant companion since I was about 7 years old. That was the year Santa forgot my camera so I went and bought it myself. Ever since then, I have been taking pictures of anything that interests me whether it is a flower, a monument or family. I hope you enjoy!
