Artist Statement Welcome to my Bio page!
I am ironicSpikes, aka Katrina Quiner-Novak, and I was born an artist.
My mother tells stories of a 3 year old me, being made to help scrub my drawings off the walls on a daily basis. She said she'd hoped me having to work to remove my drawings would deter me from again coloring the walls. Later as she reflected on it, she realized that by cleaning the walls every day, she was just giving me a blank canvas for the next day. My addiction to art and creation started young and has grown from there.

Now I am 23, and married with two dogs, in Mesa Arizona. I love raw materials and tools, and seeing what I get when I combine the two. In other words I enjoy making things, I especially doing very detailed delicate work. However, materials are expensive, so I have decided to sell my work to fund my habit (and to get my family and friends to stop badgering me about opening a store and sharing my talents with the world...) It also gives me an excuse to make more, and a chance to make things I think would be cool, but wouldn't want or couldn't use.
