Artist Statement Hi! My name is Samantha, I am an artist/photographer living in Marysville, CA. I am originally from Sacramento. I attend CSUS, where I am working towards a degree in Studio Art. My husband and I work as a photography team, traveling and taking pictures together.

My painting and photography focuses on saturated representational figures. I mainly paint large figures, and am currently working on a series of self portraits. The emotions of the human figure are very interesting to me. My photography is mainly black and white landscapes and saturated macros of floral and plant life.
