Artist Statement Photography provides me with the creative avenue to express my talented eye. I have a natural flare for fine art, which emanates from my heart and soul. I create art, “for the Love of the Image.”
My technical background and unique perspective of art allows me to create synergistic images of realism and fantasy I see in the world around us.
As a Rochester based photographer I have used both film and digital mediums. Currently I create eye-catching Black & White and Color compositions with the latest digital equipment. I currently use the best Pro Labs to print my images where they are digitally printed using traditional photographic methods.
I have enjoyed seven cooperative shows in Rochester, New York. My works are in private collections. I have been published in the Rochester INFO-courses Newspaper, SWIIG Fashion Magazine, and The Democrat and Chronicle – the Week in Arts. I participated in ARTWalk 2006 and was jury selected and show cased on ARTWalk 2008 marketing materials. At the ARTWalk 2008 Live Auction, "Just Java," a canvas stretched reproduction raised just under $1000, benefiting ARTWalk. Along with ARTWalk I have donated my Photographic Art and services to AIDS Rochester(AIDSCare), ACHC, SEAC, Ronald McDonald House, and AIDS Project LA.
I offer freelance photographic services while focusing on my association with the Premier Fine Art and Wedding photographer in the Rochester area, Cheryl Amati Martin.
