Artist Statement Young Designs.

Young Designs is a small family business; all of our work is created from home. All images are prints of original artwork by Jacky Young; she mainly uses watercolours, but has been experimenting with different mediums. Images are then scanned into the computer and digitally enhanced by Jacky’s daughter Kerri.

Jacqueline Young B.A (Hons)

I have always been very interested art and wanted to go to college straight from school, unfortually things being the way they were back then I ended up having to go out to work to “pay my way”!. Years slowly turned to decades and before I knew where I was I had two daughters and a whole life to juggle, but my desire to paint still never left me, I finally found the courage to start again, so to speak, I attended North Tyneside College when I was 32 Where I studied fine art, That led me to Middlesbrough Where I Did My degree. It wasn’t easy travelling everyday and like all students there were sleepless nights with course work and dissertations and it all had to slot in around my girls. The work paid off and I passed, I not only achieved a degree but a totally new outlook on life.
