Artist Statement I blame one of my sisters for introducing me to the visual arts when I was in elementary school. She allowed me to experiment with her college acrylic paint set when she was an art major, and even snook me into one of her night classes on clay works (her professor found out but welcomed me with glee anyway--it was a time where liability wasn't a big concern as it is now). Later, it would inspire me to take a number of art classes in high school.

I love to create images on a variety of themes using both analog and digital technology. My current interests are in digital painting as well as digital and film fine art photography. My favorite camera I am learning to use is the Yashica MAT 127 with 6x6 medium format 120 film. Other influences in my work also include amateur astronomy, electronic engineering, and space art. When I'm not working on any particular piece, I am usually sketching the stars behind the eyepiece of my telescope at different times of the year--weather permitting.
