Description I was walking back to where we were staying in Kirkland, we had walked that way 20 times before but on this day this chair was left outside a cargo block. At first i thought the workers must have put it out there for their breaks, then i noticed it was cast concrete
Richard Harris, London Member Since April 2009 Artist Statement I picked up a camera when i was about 18 with no instructions or training and started shooting film. Initially i used photography as a tool for my art (eg. the oils in my Photobook gallery) resulting in some horrible prints in my first year, but gradually become more patient and grew to see it as an art in it's own right.
As people became more aware of my work (which to me was just about capturing memories of personal things that i found beautiful) i began to get work shooting parties, raves, weddings etc. It's really been a labor of love form the outset but increasingly i find my passion for photography giving me voice to express myself and taking me places i never thought I'd get to.
