Artist Statement I am fascinated by the creative process. The experience of being present, moment by moment, while being completely engaged, and allowing for something unthought-of to emerge is the magic I am most captivated by. Often what emerges surprises me and reveals something new.

I am most drawn to painting the effect of light, but an abstract expression also comes about now and then. I see life as an ever-changing stream which informs the variations in my style and colors from time to time...

While I experiment with most media, I enjoy the unpredictability of watercolors and the versatility of acrylics. Though I have painted intermittently since childhood, I am an artist by passion, a counselor, and facilitator by qualification.

An unexpected journey through cancer in 2014 re-aligned my priorities and art has taken center-stage since, though I am currently cancer free.
