Description This is an image I created while experimenting with bold, bordered lines and smooth simple shapes. As with all my art, this is a ballpoint/biro piece on A4 sized card, all hand drawn by me.

Artist Statement My name is David Thomson and I am an amateur artist based in Scotland, working from the website http://www.noisyinkbubbles.com (that's why this account has that name!).

I work mostly in black ballpoint or biro ink on A4 card and have developed a style that is, I think, my own. I am genuinely amateur, being entirely self taught and creating work totally independently. I feel the tag of 'outsider artist' applies to me very well.

The images you can see here are things I have kept very close to me for a long time, but that I am now gaining the confidence to share with other people. It does take a long time to work in this medium (ballpoint) and so my output is relatively slow. Still, it just means I am extra happy when I finish a piece.

I work full time in Scotland, am married with 2 rabbits, a hamster and 3 fish.
