Artist Statement
~The Artist

Angelmont discovered his natural ability to capture life essence in Oil painting. During his life Angelmont was searching for a medium in which to express moments in his life. His first venture into the genre was experimenting with pencil. To get away from the worlds stresses he would put pencil to paper and create. He specializes in the creating of Angels. Angelmont creates these beautiful creatures as he invisions the on canvas.

  Painting is the medium I choose to channel my emotions to the world. I have not made all the best choices in my life. But I am currently paying my dues to society and I hope to redeem myself later on in life. But for now I have been given a gift and will use this to bring peace and happiness to the world through my art. And with the Help of my partner I will make my art available for the world to see. I appreciate all who takes time out of their lives to admire my work again I Thank you.

  The purpose of this effort is two-fold. First, I just wanted to express my thanks for viewing my creations...being incarcerated has caused me after many hours of self-examination, to acknowledge just how far I have fallen. There are constant reminders of the wonderful rich pleasures life has allowed me to taste that are now denied me. However, there have been a few bright spots along the way that have helped time pass more easily, one of those is art; I LOVE IT. Being able to take a blank canvas or just a sheet of paper and turn it into a work of art in the process, lighten my heart. Past mistakes and sorrows have placed me behind bars. The lack of liberty has forced me to redirect my thoughts and efforts. I have discovered how to draw/ paint upon an inner strength to create some beautiful and pure artwork. After many years of painting reading & studying colors, I can say that I am well on my way as a self-taught artist. Art has allowed the expression of my most powerful inner feeling while discovering that I might be pretty good!!!

This here is my attempt to reach out beyond these walls of so many broken dreams and let downs. It is my fervent hope that these words will not fall upon deaf ears. ~Angelmont
