Artist Statement I grew up in the windy state of Wyoming and moved to Colorado after college. I've been drawing since I was in high school and have always loved drawing portraits of beautiful things. I love the way a simple black and white portrait can bring such elegance to a space. I strive to bring out the beauty in those that I draw.

When I was in high school, Mr. Collins was my art teacher. This was the first time I had actually believed that I had any talent and I was able to produce portraits that won several awards. With the help of Mr. Collins, I was able to believe in myself and truly take my talent seriously. Among the many pointers about art, he also taught me not to throw in the towel too soon.

I tend to focus on drawing things that make me smile. My Chihuahua, the loving and caring eyes of Jesus Christ. Portraits that bring you in and help you see the beauty that is around us.

My intention is to bring you into my joyful world and I hope that you enjoy my work as I enjoyed creating it.
