Artist Statement I'd like to introduce myself, I am a mom, wife and an artist, my medium usually is working with 3 dimensional designs, a recent projects was a 4 foot dragon made out of paper mache, I create as a healing process and have never thought about placing my work for sale, until now.
In February, I passed out here at home, when I came too I struggled to stay alive to find some help, when I finally was rushed to ER I was admitted with a DVT and Pulmonary Embolism in my lungs, I'm lucky to be alive and I am grateful for still being here.
While healing, I decided to attempt to teach myself how to paint, it has been years since I've picked up a brush, pencil or done any sort of drawing so this was new to me and I wasn't sure if I could do it.
I know that I have a lot of work to do on my learning and creativity with my work, but I am very proud of what I have put down on paper or canvas and will continue to grow, as the learning process continues.
I would like to Thank You for taking the time to learn all about me, as well as taking a chance at looking at my work. In the days that follow, I will be submitting some more work for you to enjoy.
