Artist Statement These collages are mostly made of images from old Life and National Geographic magazines. I like the idea that I'm recycling old, interesting images long lost in dusty stacks of faded magazines and giving them new meaning by placing a bunch of them together in an entirely different context, thus creating a whole new scene.

Some of the images come from digital photographs I've taken, which I print out on regular paper, cut up, and glue onto boards and canvases. As much as I like the using the old magazine images, I really enjoy making collages made up (almost) entirely of my own work.
