Artist Statement Jeffrey Jacoby was born in New York and moved to Florida when he was 8 years old. Always fascinated by nature, his first drawings and paintings were of the animals and landscapes he discovered in his new home. He won several awards for art during High School and displayed his work at art shows as the youngest juried artist.

In 1985, he enrolled in Flagler College with an art and baseball scholarship and graduated in 1990 with a Commercial Art degree. The next 15 years were spent working in the Tampa Bay area as a graphic designer, Illustrator and art director.

Jeff decided to follow his passion for the fine arts in 2003 and opened his gallery and studio– Colorspace Gallery– in historic Seminole Heights in Tampa. The gallery operated for 2 years when he decided to go back into the agency business. He now paints and displays his work at the West Tampa Center for the Arts in West Tampa(wtca-art.com). His funky, colorful style has been used for promoting events at The Performance Art Center, The Melting Pot restaurant , a calendar for Wal-Mart and displayed in the Tampa International Airport.
